Progress
Researches & Delegation of Tasks
As a group, we have segregated into different tasks so that we can complete our work efficiently. Our team created a Google Docs where each of us compile all researches in one file and anyone could see and edit at anytime. This is used so that all of us can thoroughly understand what each other are currently working on and stay on the same track.
Finalizing Concept & Design Intention
Through our researches and precedent studies, our team was amazed by Kengo Kuma's design style, which then we decided to reflect his style by using Komorebi in our discovery platform. We have also find that concept of light perforation best describes and reflects our design intention.
Planning and Calculations
To ensure that our model area is within limits, we did detailed calculations so that we can have interesting user experience yet does not seem to restraining. Other than that, we have also modified certain spaces and designs to keep our model within the requirements stated in the brief.
Board compilations
Later on, as we completed all drawings and models, we compile all our drawings on the board accordingly. We worked together physically to ensure our boards can visually communicate with the reviewers as clear as possible as this was a silent presentation.
Reflection
As this is a groupwork, we definitely need to communicate with each other all the time. In all stages of this assignment : planning, scheduling, compilation, cross-checking, finalization etc, all requires communications. Not only that, we also had to communicate with our tutor along the way to ensure that at each stage we get feedbacks, to further amend, discover and improve.
In this assignment, we had the opportunity to work with different types of people. We learn to deal with each other's personality, listen to their opinions as well as solving each other's issues. Although in this assignment, there was a slight uneven distribution due to the lack of man power, we have tried our best to ensure that our work quality will not be affected much.
