Artificial Lighting: Lumen Method
Our group of six was tasked with analyzing and researching a specific space of out choice, such as an office, museum, or library etc. for this assignment. Our research involved a detailed examination of factors such as sunpath, windpath, and lumen method calculations, as well as other environmental considerations. Based on our findings, we developed a lighting layout and design to ensure that the space was well lit while also being environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Progress
Space selection & Researches
he process of selecting the workspace was a breeze since the entire team unanimously agreed on the CEO office of Aemulus Runway. The office's distinctive features and amenities left us fascinated and excited about the opportunity to work in such a remarkable space. After deciding on the space, we conducted extensive research and analyzed the building's layout to ensure that it could cater to our needs. Following this, we began planning the electrical and lighting layout, taking into account every detail to create the ideal workspace.
Layout options
Following our comprehensive research, we developed five distinct layouts for the team to consider. Our objective was to select the layout that had the highest potential to create a soothing and comfortable environment for the CEO's office. By providing multiple options, we were able to thoroughly evaluate each layout and select the one that best met our needs and expectations.
Presentation Layouts
In the meantime, our design and layout team will be organizing all of our data into a Canva page. This step is crucial in ensuring that all of our information is not only clear and concise but also visually appealing. By utilizing Canva, we can create a professional-looking presentation that effectively communicates our ideas and plans.
Reflection
Having worked with the same group members before, we had developed a good understanding of each other's working styles. This enabled us to delegate tasks based on our strengths and familiarity with specific tasks, such as 3D modeling, drawings, layout planning, and research. Additionally, we decided to give one of our junior team members the opportunity to lead this time. This experience allowed us to learn to adapt to different leadership styles and work together as a team with minimal conflict. Overall, we were able to leverage our interpersonal skills to maximize our efficiency and achieve our goals successfully.
This assignment required a lot of communication since we worked in teams. We quickly realized the importance of effective communication to ensure that all team members were fully aware of our progress and direction. We established regular check-ins and reminders to ensure that everyone was on the right track. Additionally, we made sure to update our tutor, Mr. Axxu, regularly on our work to get his feedback and ensure that we were meeting expectations. By prioritizing clear and consistent communication, we were able to work together more efficiently and effectively and produce a final product that we were proud of.
