Location
A beautiful mountainous small green country nestled in between India and China. Not only of its unique culture and people there, it is also well known for being a carbon negative country. Such actions of maintaining the nature is easier said than done, especially for a small country like Bhutan. 72 % of green land in a country --- definitely a huge success for such small country !

Tourism
Speaking of tourism, Bhutan's goal is unlike any other country. They practice responsible, high-value and low impact tourism. Tourists are only allowed to visit in tour groups under the supervision of local tour guides. Most of the time, 35 % of the earnings from tourism will be contributed to human welfare. For instance, education, infrastructure, fund-free healthcare as well as poverty relieve. Only 2 national airlines and 1 international airport available in Bhutan. The Bhutan international airport is prominent for the most dangerous airport in the world --- deep valley at an elevation of 2000m, only 15 certified pilots are are allowed to land. Astonishing, right ?

Belief
Bhutanese are strong believers and followers of Mahayana Buddhism. They grow to learn for the respect the nature as they believe in reincarnation. Therefore, no killing for animals as they represent their deceased family members. Mahayana is also a philosophy of all creature's daily life --- your present actions affect your later life. So, beware of your actions !

Landscape
Being known as ' carbon negative' definitely has its reasons. They certainly has its 'strict ground rules' --- no cutting down trees ; replanting trees after natural disasters. It mainly solves the world greatest global issue --- deforestation. It prevents habitat loss which leads to loss of biodiversity, air pollution etc. It starts to make me wonder, if all countries work together to make this world a better place by taking Bhutan's daily practice as a role model ...

Culture & Tradition
By now, you have probably already known how Bhutanese lifestyle is like. You are not wrong --- they preserve their culture and tradition well as it is a big part of their lives. Children are sent to arts and crafts school to learn their traditional arts. Though it might sound lunatic to prevent children to learn arts like how the rest of us do, it is definitely a good way to keep their tradition alive from generation to generation.
What can I do to help?
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE : DESTROYING NATURE FOR HUMAN ACTIVITIES
We, humans are definitely guilty of this. Development of high-rise building, infrastructure, highways etc. brings harm to the nature. The nature is the green lungs of our city, therefore, WE SHOULD PROTECT IT !

SOLUTION : EDUCATION , IT IS !
Though we have been spreading awareness by education multiple times and ended up with nothing but despair, education is still the best solution to pass the message to young ones. Through demonstration like planting trees, educational cartoon videos definitely can shape our society into a selfless society. Picking up rubbish, no littering --- such small acts of selflessness makes a huge difference if we all have the same goal. To me, saving the earth starts from each individual. Majority of us might not be able to contribute like participating a campaign, we can always start by our daily acts. I can create a video showing our current situation and suggesting how we can solve the issue or I can make a poster for awareness... Indeed, spreading awareness is still the most effective way to pass the message.
